This March, David Auckly joins Distinguished Visiting Professor Ingrid Daubechies for an engaging conversation about math and math education.
Dave Auckly is a mathematician with a broad range of research interests who has also been involved in many special educational programs. He helped incorporate mathematics into a residential college at the University of Michigan, created a unique “Brainstorming and Barnstorming” program, and is a co-director and co-founder of the Navajo Nation Math Circle. Dave has also directed many undergraduate and graduate-level research projects and has been recognized with the Lester R. Ford Award from the Mathematical Association of America, as well as several teaching awards.
